King Travel Design is excited to share an itinerary in celebration of a special client’s milestone birthday – an adventure of a lifetime to the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador and Peru!

In conjunction with Celebrity Cruises, the journey begins with a stay in the vibrant city of Quito, Ecuador nestled high in the Andes Mountains. Embarkation on Celebrity’s newest ship, Flora, is at Baltra Island. For seven magnificent days, they’ll journey through time and walk in the footsteps of Darwin, experiencing the natural world with certified naturalists on twice daily small group shore excursions throughout the isolated Galapagos Islands. Excursions will be in comfort and style via custom-built tenders featuring stairs and a railing for a seamless ship to shore transfer.

Adventuring in the Islands that Time Forgot

In the Galapagos, wildlife encounters promise to be abundant and closer than ever as the islands’ inhabitants haven’t learned to fear humans – gaze into the eyes of colorful marine iguanas and giant ancient tortoises, walk amongst the playful sea lions and the only penguin species north of the equator -all in this stunningly rugged setting. This exotic archipelago of 19 islands formed of volcanic lava has created a living museum of evolution. The extreme isolation and convergence of three ocean currents has developed the most extraordinary wildlife – the islands that time forgot!

Each evening, they’ll return to the 100-guest, all-suites Celebrity Flora, the first ship designed and built especially for the Galapagos Islands. The ship is the only resort at sea in the region to receive a Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Rating. A truly all-inclusive cruise – luxurious accommodations, menus locally sourced and crafted by a Michelin-starred chef and unlimited Wi-Fi – all delivered with superlative service including a personal suite attendant. Onboard activities are led by a team of expert naturalists and include nightly briefings about upcoming excursions, as well as stargazing sessions on deck.

Exploring Lima & Cuzco, Peru
After disembarking, the journey continues with stays in Lima and Cuzco, Peru including these highlights:
- Exploring Peru’s Capital and its 2000 years of history and colonial wealth.
- A visit to the impressive ruins of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
- An excursion to mysterious Machu Picchu aboard the Vistadome train with a return trip aboard the world-famous Belmond Hiram Bingham train to enjoy aperitifs, dinner, as well as live local music, dancing, and Pisco sours.
- A stay at Belmond’s Monasterio to experience the thrill of staying in a protected national monument. The Monasterio’s inspired restaurants and boutique rooms and suites are all clustered around the tranquil central courtyard.

We are ecstatic to create this seamless itinerary for this remarkable celebration!
